Classifieds – Boats For Sale

“Windfall” is a 1963 30 foot Connie Born in Chattanooga Tennessee and shipped to a dealer in Clayton NY in July 1963. She spent her entire life in a boat house in the summer and indoor storage in the winter on the Saint Lawrence river 1000 islands region.

I brought her to Lake Norman NC two years ago after a very positive survey, She needed cosmetics like varnish and a complete bottom job. I did it myself down to bare wood and back up since it had many coats of bottom paint. She has 2 very solid 283 185 hp engines. 1219 hours. Her exterior and interior is totally original. Her helm and bow seats have be redone. I just had her in the yard to check her bottom. It was 2014 since we did the bottom. I did paint the forward third of the hull and sides but that was all that was needed. I had my guru of Chris Crafts, Lee Dalen look at the shafts etc. The only thing he suggested was to replace the port cutlass bearing next time I pull her. Should be fine for another good 50 hours.

Solid hull, no leakage, new battery charger, virtually new canvas including transom cover. Dockage paid till July 2018 in covered slip at Long Island Marina. Only selling her because due to my wife’s health we are not able to do the activities we had planned. Insured with Hagerty. I paid $10,500 FOB Clayton NY and that is my selling price. If you love the lines like I do this is the only one that I found that had solid bones with a soft top. Video and photos below.

1969 Lyman 22’ Sleeper hull number 1126, $7,000 Located on Lake Norman NC (it has never been in salt water). I have owned it since 1998. I believe I am the third owner. I have a copy of the original receipt when it was ordered from the manufacturer in Sandusky Ohio and delivered to the dealer for resale. I also have other documents and manuals. Structurally it is in great shape, no rot anywhere. The trailer was custom made by Loadmasters Manufacturing in Port Clinton Ohio which is located on Lake Erie. It has electric brakes and less than 1000 highway miles on it. I have the frames for the convertible top, the cushions and the pattern for a boat cover. The engine is a Chrysler 200 hp with a new Edlebrock 4 barrel carburetor, tune up parts and timing light are also included. The deck, transom and interior needs refinishing (see pictures). There is no reason it can’t be used today except for the fact the hull needs to be in the water long enough to swell. The main reason I am selling it is; I am restoring a 1982 sail boat and find I do not have the time nor slip space for two boats. Total price: $7000 (Trailer $3000, Boat $4000), Contact: Bo Forehand, Phone: 704.799.2211 email: bo@nu-tack.com
