“2026 Ladies Day Out”
Lake Lure Boat Show – Saturday, October 3rd
10:00 a.m. on the Inn’s Terrace
Join us for an enchanting day discovering Chimney Rock. We will plan to leave the Inn at 10:00 a.m. and begin the day with shopping at the stores on Main Street. At 11:30 a.m. lunch will be on your own at the Chimney Rock Smokehouse. They have a large menu available with BBQ plates, sandwiches, salads, Mac-n-Cheese Bowls, and Brunswick Stew. From there we will go to the Chimney Rock State Park just across the street at 1:00 p.m. and will take the elevator to the top of the granite monolith for a 75-mile panoramic view of the valley. It is breathtakingly beautiful!! Also available is a 1.5-mile roundtrip walk to the base of the towering waterfall featured in “The Last of the Mohicans” movie.
This adventure into the Park is $17.00 per person; however, Blue Ridge Chapter is “treating the ladies” with this activity. AND, finally, when we arrive back at the Inn, we will be “treated” to an Italian-type spritz in the Moose and Goose Lounge. Thank you, Sonya Pitts and staff, for all your help arranging our day out!!
