Sometimes the most fun is found while being a part of the story unfolding! That was the case with the Hilton Head Concours weekend as Blue Ridge members gathered with a display of boats for the event. Starting out with a chapter gathering on Friday evening, the stories told and time shared was a perfect kick-off for the weekend. An often stated comment during this gathering was about curiosity of how the weather would be on Saturday.…
That curiosity of the weather was settled Saturday morning as the rains continued through the day……but with an island and many restaurants to explore, there was plenty to do. Seeing chapter members exploring various venues kept the day busy as we continued to share stories and meals together.
The event on Sunday was why we all were there…..the camaraderie, the boats, the conversations…..everything we enjoy about our gatherings was present. The Concours d’Elegance was outstanding with the cars as the exquisite elegance of these rare and unique automobiles was beyond description. What a delightful experience it was to see these vehicles….some to propel us down Memory Lane, others to delight us with the unparalleled quality they represented. And when not viewing the boats and cars, the continuing conversations with chapter members kept us engaged and grateful to be a part of this community.
What a special weekend, and one we are already looking forward to next year! We hope to see you there!
